It is so wonderful the NNP is so accessible, I just needed one public transportation ticket for ABC zones to reach it from my place of staying, even if this involved metro, train and a local bus. In addition, I have a great respect for how the trails are organised. People often come by car, but then they must leave it and walk on foot (or maybe ride a bike or a horse), even if they are going to cover many kilometres. Wonder if this would ever work at home, where people feel entitled to pick mushrooms by having to walk just a few steps from their car. As a new visitor, I really appreciated the trails from Haukkalampi, as they are very clearly marked and one doesn’t need to learn or think a lot to walk them (that would be fun if one had more than this single day to experience the unusual natural environment). The forest itself may be compared to Aukštaitija NP served on the rocks :) . One must always watch their feet, as an even path with no sticking roots and stones can only be found on the hilltops made of smooth stone. There are lakes, climbs and gorges, and stones big and small. It is wonderful how the abundant visitors do not make it overcrowded (and one can always leave the path and sit in peace for some time, as well). Maybe it being a workday helped as well.

This is the end of the tales on this journey. I‘ll remember it and try to get the deeper impressions of it even afterwards, because 3 ½ days is a bit rushed time anyway (the practical limitations were present, but I feel I got the best value for the price paid; also, everything was as easy and comfortable as I wished it to be).
