hild_0 atvyko šaunusis sulerin, pirmąsyk pasilinksminau ir pasivaikščiojau (beveik) Joninių naktį (nors ir ne iki aušros). Pirmąsyk pamačiau tikrus Mikalojaus Konstantino Čiurlionio paveikslus (ir labai aiškiai supratau, kad reprodukcijos praranda daug). Taip pat pirmąsyk Kaune suradau Prisikėlimo bažnyčią (įspūdinga – milžiniška, stilius šiuolaikiškas, tačiau sukuriama šviesi, lengva, netgi džiugi erdvė). Moralas: Lietuvoje paviešėjo ne tik mūsų svečias :) Ačiū už susitikimą!
Taigi, žadėjau ir čia padėti asociacijas tarp Dž.R.R.Tolkino tekstų ir Čiurlionio paveikslų. Nes tolkinistams jos, vienokios ar kitokios, dažnai kyla ;)
В связи с прибытием кhild_0 славного sulerin впервые погуляла в ночь (почти) Ивана Купалы (хотя и не до рассвета). Впервые увидела настоящие картины Микалоюса Константинаса Чюрлёниса (и очень ярко ощутила, что в репродукциях теряется многое). Также впервые нашла костёл Воскресения в Каунасе (впечатляет – при исполинских размерах и современном стиле создаётся светлое, лёгкое, даже радостное пространство). Мораль: в Литве погостил не только наш гость :) Спасибо за встречу!
Что же, обещала выложить и здесь ассоциации между текстами Дж.Р.Р.Толкина и картинами Чюрлёниса. Так как у толкинистов они в том или ином виде часто возникают ;)

Ulmo is the Lord of Waters.
...Yavanna, the Giver of Fruits. She is the lover of all things that grow in the earth, and all their countless forms she holds in her mind, from the trees like towers in forests long ago to the moss upon stones or the small and secret things in the mould.
Nahar is the name of his horse, white in the sun, and shining silver at night.
...and there arose a multitude of growing things great and small, mosses and grasses and great ferns, and trees...
...Aulë at the prayer of Yavanna wrought two mighty lamps for the lighting of the Middle-earth which he had built amid the encircling seas.
...and upon the shores of the sea they raised the Pelóri, the Mountains of Aman, highest upon Earth.
But already the oldest living things had arisen: in the seas the great weeds, and on earth the shadow of great trees...
..and could tread the golden streets of Valmar and the crystal stairs of Tirion upon Túna, the green hill; but most of all they sailed in their swift ships on the waters of the Bay of Elvenhome, or walked in the waves upon the shore...
...Telperion bore at last upon a leafless bough one great flower of silver...
But soon the Sun was drawn down by the servants of Ulmo, and went then in haste under the Earth...
...and was lifted up even into the oceans of heaven.
...and with him was Elrond Half-elven, who chose, as was granted to him, to be numbered among the Eldar; but Elros his brother chose to abide with Men.

A land was made for the Edain to dwell in, neither part of Middle-earth nor of Valinor, for it was sundered from either by a wide sea...
And the tree grew and blossomed in the courts of the King in Armenelos...
...the power of Sauron daily increased...
...and there came a mighty wind and a tumult of the earth, and the sky reeled, and the hills slid, and Númenor went down into the sea...
...and waves like unto mountains moving with great caps of writhen snow bore them up amid the wreckage of the clouds...

...a dark shape, like a cloud and yet not a cloud, for it moved far more swiftly, came out of the blackness in the South, and sped towards the Company, blotting out all light as it approached. Soon it appeared as a great winged creature...

искала репродукции картин Чюрлёниса...а набрела на ваш пост.
Хочу сказать,что у меня тоже возникли абсолютно толкинистические ощущения,
когда я впервые, лет 7 назад, в каком-то журнале, увидела и была восхищена работами мастера.
P.S. очень хочется когда-нибудь взглянуть на них "в живую".

Про всадника - мы тоже решили, что это Оромэ - над Нуменором? Предупреждение?
близнецы - да, определенно они. Земля и Белое дерево тоже хороши... И Саурон в Нуменоре и Волна и потоп - да, да, они!
А со Стрельцом у меня другие ассоциации. И больше всего люблю Весть - потому что я вообще очень люблю эту историю.
И за Арду Исцеленую - спасибо.

Date: 2008-05-25 14:52 (UTC)Ух, у меня тут скорее словесные совпадения - Rex - он и есть Король. Вроде бы думала, что за ним, тот, который ещё больше и важнее - сам Эру. Подумалось, что у обеих авторов могла быть эта идея БОга - Короля.
Про Стрельца, как оно у тебя, знаю, просто у меня тут ассоциации не были совсем свободные - это скорее уж интерпретация "текста". Случалось читать, что означает и совершает Стрелец в символике Зодиака, и, в другом месте, что могло быть именно на этой картине (Чюрлёнис всё таки интерпретировал традиционные значения). А там - Стрелец, то есть, активный, созидающий, разумный Человек побеждает звериную природу. Эльф против назгульской птички очень подошёл.
...Эх, я несколько лет голову всем морочила "Атрабетом", но нашла на форуме только одного человека, который всё таки прочитал и как-то разделил моё восхищение :) А меня история почти что - или не почти - до слёз доводит.

Date: 2008-05-25 15:57 (UTC)...Ага, тема. Мне очень понравилось, что там Финрод своим умом пришёл к объяснению, каким образом эта Заново Созданная Арда может появиться. То, что в христианстве есть догма, для него было именно философией, результатом активного поиска. И это очень трогательный эпизод, потому что тут Толкин говорит про то, что для него есть самое важное, делает то, что очень редко позволял себе - стирает границу между миром, в котором живёт, и миром, о котором пишет. При этом сумев не стать скучным проповедником.
